The VW Autostadt in Wolfsburg is the perfect place for communication training in automotive engineering. At the end of the semester, CDTF students and their fellow students of the course Technical German for foreign students took a trip to the Autostadt. At the two-hour tour, the group gained an insight into the individual stages of production, from the press shop to quality control. Tour guide Beate Altenhoffen (3rd from the right) explained the special features of the 16 cylinder engine with four turbochargers which is mounted into the Bugatti shown to the group. The mechanical engineering students, most of whom aim for a future in the automotive industry, also gathered information at the exhibit about the economic significance and globalization of the automotive industry.
