A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Paderborn University as well as good German language skills are the best prerequisite for CDTF students to start a career at Volkswagen in China. Philipp Stiebeling and his colleague Van Tong (photo back row 1st and 3rd from the right) of the Recruiting Team of Volkswagen Automatic Transmission in Tianjin (VW ATJ) presented the plant and job entry possibilities in German and Chinese. Currently, the manufacturing of newly developed hybrid transmissions and electric motors is being prepared; thus, there is an increased short- and medium term demand in Chinese engineers with good German language skills. Participants of the class "Technical German for international students" attended the presentation as well. The company presentation and the subsequent conversation was a good opportunity for communication training for future contacts with HR managers. Among other things, the course prepares students for the application process for an internship at a mechanical engineering company.
